Lenovo K6 Note Vs Xiaomi Redmi Note : Which is the better smartphone?

With the growing competition in the Smartphone industry, the companies seem to be on over time launching dozens of phones in a mere time of months. The idea is not to just manufacture, but to provide the best quality with latest features at the lowest price.

Both these Chinese companies have been trying their hand in making a name for themselves in the budget segment of the Smartphone industry. They are; Lenovo K6 Note, which is priced at Rs 13,999 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, for Rs. 10,999. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was launched in beginning of 2017 whereas Lenovo K6 Note was released at the end of last year and is doing well in the market individually.

Display and Features – Both K6 Note and Note 4 share the same display quality with a 5.5 inch touch screen size with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 with a PPI of 401 per pixel. K6 Note comes with a battery capacity of 4000 mAh where Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 offers 4100 mAh. The color choices for the models also vary as Lenovo K6 Note offers you Dark Grey, Gold, Silver and Redmi Note 4 offer Gold, Grey and Matte Black. Both the products support multiple sensors like proximity, accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope etc. They also differ in their weight, K6 Note being only 169 g and Redmi Note being 175g. According to audience reviews K6 Note’s display is rated better than of Xiaomi’s Note 4.

Camera – Lenovo K6 Note comes with a 16 mega pixel of rear camera with dual color CCT LED Flash which promises stunning picture even in dim lighting. The phone also has a front camera of 8 megapixels to satisfy its selfie users. Whereas Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a rear camera of 13 mega pixel with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF pixels and dual color flash with CMOS sensor, contributing to its 5 megapixels front camera. Although both these cameras give you HD photos, and video recordings Lenovo K6 Note, win the case here with its 16 megapixel camera.

Price – Getting almost the same features but at a different price gap of worth Rs 2000 in between.

Lenovo K6 Note

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was launched at a price of Rs. 10,999 where as Lenovo K6 Note is worth Rs 13,999, making it the expensive choice. Although both these products have their own features a choice between them can only be made according to the customers’ requirements.

Performance – The Lenovo K6 Note works on a 1.4 Ghzoctacore processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 and supports a 3 GB RAM with a 32 GB internal storage expandable up to 128 through microSD card in its dual sim slot. Whereas Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 runs on 2GHz octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 supported by a 4 GB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 64 GB expandable up to 128 GB. The latter sure seems better in terms of RAM and internal memory space. However both these products operate on Marshmallow Lenovo K6 Note on Android 6.0.1 and Redmi Note 4 on Android 6.0 with MIUI 8 technology that allows you to operate two or dual accounts on any application in your phone like Whatsapp, Facebook and Snapchat etc. Both these products promise you a smooth lagging free experience. Especially Redmi Note 4, which has great a review for its smooth gaming, and hassle free performance.

Connectivity – Both the models support WiFi with a standardization of 802.11 b/g/n including GPS, Blutooth, NFC, FM, dual SIM slots and a headphone jack of 3.5 mm. Infrared is only supported in Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Lenovo K6 Note lacks this feature. Both these phones provide 4G LTE network with GSM/WCDMA network type.

Although both these products are doing great in the market individually, when compared one might consider Redmi Note 4 over Lenovo K6 Note because its uses a little more advanced processor and offers you 1 GB extra RAM and 32 GB extra internal storage compared to Lenovo. If you are looking for a good camera than you should definitely go for K6 Note, as it promises a better quality with perfect pictures in even low lighting.
